JUDICIAL INVESTIGATION INTO 'VITAE' IS DRAGGING ON
Almost three years after taking the Vitae platform offline, the Belgian Justice Department has NOT yet provided ANY EVIDENCE to the Vitae Members for the serious accusations of “Ponzi and Pyramid fraud”, which have caused moral and financial damage to 230.000 people in more than 100 countries, hence they have provided no justification for this abrupt intervention harming so many!
1.It should be clear that NO PROSECUTION HAS BEEN STARTED AGAINST VITAE. ”The criminal investigation" is still pending. That alleged investigation has now been going on for THREE years since the Vitae platform was taken offline on June 22, 2021.
2. It therefore increasingly appears that the Belgian judicial system is flawed, resulting in an artificial prolongation of the investigation, which prevents the substantive truth from emerging in this investigation.
3. This is our interpretation, unless the Belgian judiciary soon provides clarity in this case WITH COMPELLING EVIDENCE OF FRAUD, as was claimed on June 22, 2021.

ABOUT THE CROWDFUNDING
Dear members of wearevitae.org,
A few months ago, we announced a crowdfunding to collectively pay outstanding debts with our lawyer at Elegis and also with the intention of building up a reserve for further legal action. Everything is in place for such crowdfunding: a non-profit association was set up specifically for this purpose under the name "Justice for the Vitae Members" (JuViMe VZW) - Company number 0802770020, with statutes published in the Belgian Official Gazette on 15 June 2023.
The more than 20.000 affiliated members are not suspects, but VICTIMS fighting for justice. And we will continue that fight, to victory.
Our lawyer, Hans Van de Wal, confirms in a separate communication that he has convincing arguments to win this court case.
However, the core team has decided to postpone the crowdfunding for a while until we have the legal ability to share our arguments with you.
For now, this is not yet possible because the legal investigation into Vitae has not yet been completed.
As soon as the Belgian Judiciary can no longer use " the secrecy of the judicial investigation" against us and the results from the investigation are out in the open, we will communicate with you about our strategy.
We will then be able to inform you so that you will be even more motivated to participate in our crowdfunding in order to strengthen the next legal actions. Lawsuits take a long time (that is so in every country, but especially in Belgium), they are time-consuming and cost money, a lot of money.

STATEMENT BY OUR LAWYER HANS VAN DE WAL (ELEGIS)

Dear Vitae-members,
After consultation with the core team of wearevitae.org, I herewith send you an update on the state of play.
Allow me to first emphasize that I remain convinced that our legal arguments in the case against the Belgian State for compensation are solid. The claim/lawsuit on behalf of 20.000 affiliated Vitae members against the Belgian State has been initiated and is only waiting to be continued due to juridical technical issues: the court in Brussels has ruled that the outcome of the criminal investigation has to be awaited before the claim can be dealt with.
While I understand it is frustrating to be lacking information on this criminal investigation, this is simply due to the fact that the 20.000 represented by myself have no official capacity in the investigation (not as a suspect nor as officially registered victim) and therefore we don’t have access to the case file.
Moreover, even if information on the investigation would be obtained, both the professional secrecy of lawyers in Belgium and the secrecy of Belgian juridical investigations would prevent me from making public statements on the content of the file on a website accessible to all, even those who did not register.
For now, we can only wait for the outcome of the investigation. Please rest assured that regardless of the outcome, the claim against the Belgian State can be pursued anyhow.
As soon as legally and practically possible we will communicate an update on the case.
